Dr. Scott Dominic Carpenter

Scott Dominic Carpenter holds a PhD in French Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As a professor at Carleton College (now emeritus), he taught French literature and creative writing, both in Minnesota and in Paris, over the course of more than three decades.

The author of several academic tomes, Scott is best known for his books about life in Paris: French Like Moi (2020) and Paris Lost & Found (2024). The recipient of several writing awards, he is also the founder of the satirical movement to Make America French Again.
